I really like the designs on manhole covers, something I never noticed much until I started walking a lot. As an abstract artist I've trained my eye to see shapes and designs in everything, no matter what is. When I'm walking I often take mental notes of different things that I might use in my art work too.
With this one I noticed while walking down an alley, here in Farmington, Michigan. I like the round circles, lines that come out like sun rays and especially how it's spray painted turquoise, making it a real "eye catcher"!
