Description
It seems like this tree is headed for trouble because of the erosion wearing away the riverbank soil so badly that most of it's roots are bare. Amazingly enough though it's been there surviving a long time on the bank of the Rogue River that runs through the Shiawassee Park in Farmington, MI. It's still there but with less and less soil and because of the river rising up and down it's always changing a little all the time. When I took this photo there was something that wasn't there previously and that was ice on parts of the river. With winter it's an added effect I appreciate!
