About Sandra Church

Sandra Church My name is Sandra L Church (aka Sandy Church) and I'd like to welcome you to my Fine Art America/Pixels website. Here you will find a never ending and growing, collection of drawings, paintings and photography, all of which I hope you enjoy as much as I enjoy creating them.
My paintings and drawings, mostly done by hand, but some digital, range from abstract to semi surreal. I like to experiment with different mediums but a majority of my drawings here are a collection using art markers. My photography is a variety of still life's, macro close ups, to obscure things I see while walking.
A little about myself: I was born in Royal Oak Michigan and grew up, mostly in Ann Arbor Michigan. In my mid twenties I moved to Phoenix Arizona and lived there for three years until I joined the Army. Except for a year in Egypt, I spent most of my eight years of the Army stationed at Ft Hood Texas. After getting out of the Army I bought a cheap rundown trailer on the outskirts of Austin, Tx., (so I could afford to continue my education), and lived there until I graduated. My last move was back to Farmington Michigan, where I've been ever since.
Throughout my life time I’ve taken art classes at: every public school I attended, Washtenaw Community College, (WCC), in Ann Arbor, MI., the Ann Arbor Art Association, in Ann Arbor, Mi., Central Texas College, in Killeen, TX., and Texas State University, (SWT) in San Marcos, Tx. It was at SWT where I was able to earn my BFA and fulfill my lifelong dream of being able to concentrate and develop my our style of drawings and painting. My photography is entirely self taught and came later in the early 2000s.
I’ve had my artwork and photographs in many show, some juried and some not, but what I like about having a website is having the ability to share with more people. What is really nice about having a website through Fine Art America is not only do I have a way to show my art but that they do all the work of printing it on so many products, all made with exceptional workmanship and comes with a money back guarantee!
Whatever the medium, my whole heart goes into what I create and share only the best of it here and hope you enjoy the visit!
