Artist's Description
What I really like about this worn out 1960's Vernors, Ginger Ale box, is the picture on the side of the soda being poured over a ham! Then, in the smashed corner, is even the recipe for ham using Vernors.
That's just the way my mom made her ham in the1960's and believe it of not, that's the way, at the age of 87, she made it today for Christmas! Pretty good too!
Of course, we in Michigan, are very proud of Vernors because it was invented in Detroit by James Vernor and first server for the first time in 1866, making it old of the nations oldest soft drinks!
It's a thing I keep for nostalgic sake and thought it would make a interesting subject for a photo, with it's old worn out look.
Note: The watermark seen here does not show on any item purchased.

Yep! I was lucky enough to get what was left of what my mom didn't pour on the ham which was....delicious too, lol!

Great photo! I grew up in Detroit, and Vernors was very much a holiday drink, so I get the ham connection.
