Description
This is a digitally enhanced photograph of a U.S. Army WWII issued, field compass. The silver colored round metal body was deigned similar to a pocket watch with a button on top to open it and was meant to be carried like one too.
When my grandfather died I inherited this compass that he bought it in a Army surplus store. I've always felt honored that it was given to me, not just because it belonged to my grandfather but because I know it was once issued to a brave soldier who served our country. Of course I admit, being a Army veteran myself I have a special pride for all things U.S. Army too!
